Complete Control Over Your Data
Gold Metal Guide is a fully offline application. All data (bookmarks, calculator history, and preferences) is stored locally on your Android device. No data is transmitted to external servers or stored in the cloud.
How to Delete Your Data
Since all data is stored locally, you can delete it at any time using standard Android methods:
Method 1: Uninstall the App
Uninstalling Gold Metal Guide will permanently remove all app data from your device:
- Go to Settings → Apps → Gold Metal Guide
- Tap Uninstall
- All local data will be permanently deleted
Method 2: Clear App Data
To delete all data while keeping the app installed:
- Open Settings → Apps → Gold Metal Guide
- Tap Storage
- Tap Clear Data or Clear Storage
- All bookmarks, history, and preferences will be reset
Method 3: Reset Within the App
You can also clear specific data categories from within the app:
- Open Gold Metal Guide
- Go to Settings → Data Management
- Select what to delete (bookmarks, calculator history, preferences)
What Gets Deleted
When you delete app data, the following information is permanently removed:
- Bookmarked gemstones and metals
- Calculator history and saved calculations
- App preferences and settings
- Search history
Note: The core encyclopedia content (included with the app) will remain, but all your personal usage data will be erased.
No Server-Side Data
Gold Metal Guide does not store any data on external servers. There is no user account, no cloud backup, and no remote database. When you delete local data, it is permanently gone — we have no copies to recover.
